Our long range, battery powered, wireless (LoRaWAN®) solution offers a reliable, user-friendly, and affordable people counter solution that provides valuable insights and footfall traffic analytics to organisations. LoRaWAN is a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA) networking protocol designed to wirelessly connect battery operated IoT sensors over long distances.
Our LoRaWAN People Counters solve a variety of traffic monitoring challenges for all types of environments including office buildings, retail stores, libraries, public toilets, footpaths and leisure centres, with models available for both indoor and outdoor use. It is ideal for environments where you need a battery powered solution that can transmit data across longer distances than wireless LAN or 3G/4G networks.

People Counting Sensors
Wireless LoRaWAN People Counters
The wireless LoRaWAN counters consist of 2 doorway sensors (transmitter and receiver) that generate an infrared beam across an entrance up to 8 metres wide. Each time a person walks through the entrance and breaks the infrared beam, the count increases by one. The counters are bi-directional and will count both 'In' and 'Out' directions and provide totals for each direction.
The doorway sensors come with mounting plates that allow them to be fixed to a flat surface, using either screws or double sided mounting tape. The counters use standard AA batteries that will last up to 12 months with standard usage. Additional brackets can be purchased for more complex mounting configurations.
